How-To Add Information to Exchange
This guide will help you to complete your profile information in the Exchange web interface. You can enter additional information such as phone numbers or other contact details to complete your profile.
Note: Please note that some fields cannot be changed by you and changes to certain data are subject to special processes. You can find more information on this special data in the instructions below.
1. Open the following page in your web browser https://exchange.uni-heidelberg.de/ and log in with your login data. Depending on the assignment of your Exchange mailbox, use your Uni-ID or project number for your domain according to the following scheme:
- ad\<uni-id> or
- ad\<project number>
Then enter your password and click on “sign in”.

2. Open the settings. To do this, click on the gear icon in the top right-hand corner. Then select “Options” from the drop-down menu.

3. Next click on “General” > “My account” in the menu on the left. Here you can add further information to your profile.
Important Notes
- Non-editable fields
Initials and country/region cannot be changed as this information is taken over by the system. -
Changes by administrators
First name, surname, display name and e-mail address cannot be edited by yourself. Changes depend on the type of account:- Uni-ID: Changes are made via the ZUV (personnel database).

Project number: Changes can be made by the IT service.
