Training SPSS for Windows - Self-learning program
SPSS moodle course only available in german
The URZ offers an online course on IBM SPSS Statistics software. Short videos convey the content, which is then applied and reinforced with exercises.
You will receive feedback on submitted solutions from the course instructor. You can start at any time and work at your own pace.
Course topics:
- Data entry
- Importing Excel spreadsheets
- Creating new variables
- Filtering, sorting, and linking tables
- Creating simple analyses and graphs
- Exporting results to Microsoft Word
Target group
Students, employees, doctoral candidates (beginners)
Prerequisites
To register and participate in the course, you will need a university ID or a valid URZ user ID, as well as access to the SPSS software on your own (work) computer or the URZ's Windows terminal server. Basic statistical knowledge (of descriptive statistics and hypothesis testing) is advantageous for completing the assignments, as these topics are not covered in the course.
Please note that the course currently is only available in german.
Dates & Duration
This is an online course with a flexible start date, meaning you can join at any time. The course takes approximately 10-12 hours to complete, depending on how much time participants invest in the software and exercises.
