How-To Managing Exchange distribution groups in Apple Mail
The following instructions explain step by step how to manage Exchange distribution groups in Apple Mail.
Create and manage distribution groups
1. Open the “Contacts” application.

2. Click on the “+” button in the lower middle area of the window.
3. Click on the “New List” tab in the drop-down menu.

4. A new list will appear in the left-hand section of the window. Enter a name for your list.

5. Click on your distribution group in the left pane.
6. Click on the “+” button and select the “New Contact” tab from the drop-down menu.

7. A window will open where you can create a new contact with a name, email address, and other information. After creating the contact, click on “Done”.

Send emails to a distribution group
There are two ways to send emails to a distribution group.
First option
1. Right-click on the distribution group to which you want to send your email in the left-hand pane of the Contacts window.
2. Click on the “Send email to [name of distribution group]” tab to send an email directly to all contacts in the distribution group. All contacts in your distribution group will automatically be added to the recipient list.

Second Option
1. Create a new email.
2. Enter the name of your distribution group in the “To” field and select your group. The contacts in your distribution group have now been successfully selected as recipients.
