How-To Log in and log out in YoKI

The following instructions explain step by step how to log in and out of YoKI. By logging in (mandatory) with a university ID, chats, prompts, bookmarks and other settings can be saved for the long term. You do not have to sign up or set up another account for YoKI.

General information on use

  • Please note the terms of use and privacy policy (see link bar). You can only use our AI service if you agree to these terms. Also, you must agree to the terms of use again each time you log in to YoKI.
  • Access to YoKI is only possible within the university network or via VPN. More information on setting up a VPN can be found in the link bar.
  • If you have any questions about the YoKI platform, setting up a VPN, or the privacy policy and terms of use, please contact IT Services. Please also take a look at our instructions for YoKI in the service catalogue.

Log in

1. Open the YoKI web interface. To log in, use either your Uni-ID or your project number as your username. Then log in with your respective password.

Note: You must be connected to the university network, otherwise you will not be able to access the website. More information about the university network and VPN setup can be found above.

Enter your university ID or project number and password.

2. If you are logging into YoKI for the first time, you will be presented with the terms of use for the AI platform. Please read the terms of use carefully. Then confirm your agreement by clicking on the “I accept” button.

Note: If you click the “I do not accept” button, you will be redirected back to the login window. The terms of use are currently only available in german.

Log out

1. Click on your profile in the bottom left corner.

2. Select the “Log out” option from the menu.
Note: All changes are saved automatically.

Click on “Log out”.

Effects of account deletion

You can delete your account at any time, for example if you no longer agree with the terms of use. This will result in

  • all your chats, bookmarks, preferences, etc. being deleted
  • you having to agree to the terms of use again the next time you log in.

Deleting your account does not mean that you have to re-register. After deleting your account, you can log in again with your university ID or project number and a new account will be created automatically.

Delete account

1. Click on your profile in the bottom left corner.

2. Select the “Settings” option from the menu.

Choose “Settings".

3. Select the “Account” option in the settings window.

Choose „Account“ in the settings.

4. In the account settings tab, click the “Delete” button under “Delete account”.

Click on “Delete”.

5. You will be asked to enter the email address associated with your account (or your university ID or project number). This is a security check to ensure that you do not accidentally delete your account. Enter your email address and then click on the button below, which will unlock once you have entered the correct email address, to complete the deletion process.

Please enter your email address before you can delete your account.
