ServicePublic printers and copiers
Printing and copying (from) anywhere on campus
With the Ricoh-pull print printing solution, users can print, copy and scan documents at many public multifunction devices on campus. Print jobs for these devices can be sent from anywhere via the Ricoh pull print printing solution. This allows anyone with a Uni ID or project number to submit a print job from a PC, from a mobile device or via the Ricoh myPrint web portal, then log in with their user ID at any printer on campus and print it. This allows for flexible printing without needing to carry around a USB flash drive, for example. You can pay with your student ID/CampusCard.
Target group
- Students
- University employees
- Researchers
- Doctoral candidates
- External members (as long as they have a CampusCard, otherwise only on printers with coin payment)
Use
- Send print jobs via PC, mobile device or the web portal.
- Flexible printing/copying/scanning with any desired printer on campus
- No need to bring a USB stick with you
- Simple payment with your student ID or a CampusCard
- Alternatively, there are printers with the option of cash payment (coin-operated), which enables non-University members to use these services.
Access and requirements
As an authorized user of the public printers and copiers, you can conveniently send a print-ready document to the central print server with the web portal Ricoh myPrint. You can also set up the print server as a printer in your operating system, which will allow you to send print jobs directly there. (How to do this is explained in the How-to.)
When sending a print job to the Ricoh-pull print printing solution, you do not have to pick a particular printer. You can print at every public Ricoh-pull print printer or copier located on campus. After entering your Uni-ID (or another valid ID) into the login window of a printer or copier, you can see a list of all your documents stored on the central print server. From this list, you can select and print a document. Please do not forget to insert your Student ID/ Campus Card into the card reader in order to pay for the print job.
Also, make sure the printer or copier is able to produce the demanded print-out. If you want to print a document in color, use a color printer or copier. Color printers and copiers are also able to print black-and-white documents. Some printers do not allow for color print or can only print certain media formats.
