Service announcement - 30 August 2023New provider S/MIME certificates: no application possible at present

Until the end of August 2023, user certificates (S/MIME certificates) could be applied for via the DFN portal. From now on, there will be a change of provider and user certificates can only be obtained via the new provider.  In the future, applications will be submitted via a new university portal. Please refer to the service catalog shortly for the corresponding link and instructions.

Please note: There are currently technical problems with the new certificate provider, so that it is temporarily not possible to apply for and issue user certificates. The provider is working on a solution to make the service available again.
