How-to LimeSurvey-Collaborative editing of surveys
The following will show you how to grant others access to your own surveys as a survey administrator.
For joint work on individual surveys, you have the option of authorizing another person (or persons) for your surveys. How exactly this works is described below.
If it is a larger project in which one or more surveys are to be created, it may be more convenient to apply for a joint functional account, which can then also be used for joint e-mails and data storage. You can find more information on this in the linked service catalog entry on function accounts.
Under no circumstances may you pass on the password for your Uni-ID or your project ID to other persons.
1. Request the URZ to create a LimeSurvey group
In order to grant other people access to your own surveys, you need a LimeSurvey group, which only the URZ can create.
Request the LimeSurvey user group (or changes for existing user groups) using the form linked below and ask the participants in the user group to log in to LimeSurvey once - if they have not already done so.
Please note: If the person does not need to create their own surveys, they do not need to apply for registration as a survey administrator.
2. Survey permissions
You should now be able to manage the rights within the group.
2.1. Select the survey that you want to work on with other people.

2.2. Then select the menu item “Survey permissions” on the left under “Settings”.

2.3 Use the down arrow to select individual users or an entire user group from the list. In the example shown, you could select both the user “Admin” and “x16 (Carina Ortseifen)”.
2.4 Confirm the selection with “Add user” or “Add group users”. The selected person is now displayed in a list below the selection field

2.5 Now click on “...” under ‘Action’ and select “Edit permissions”.

2.6 Now activate or deactivate the authorizations that the person should receive. By clicking on the box under “General”, all the boxes to the right are initially selected; these can then be removed individually. In our example, the person receives read permissions for the statistics as well as read, write and delete permissions for all survey content. And finally, don't forget to click “Save” at the bottom of the page.

In the same way (menu item “Survey authorizations” on the left under “Settings”, click on the three dots under ‘Action’) you can also revoke the authorizations (“Delete”).
