How-To Use of Decentralized Public Copiers/Printers
Note: The home screens vary slightly due to the use of different Ricoh systems.
Quick Print/Scan to USB
To print from a USB flash drive or scan to a USB flash drive, please press Print/Scan (Storage Device). To copy, please press Copy.
Please note that the print output from your USB flash drive will be printed exactly as it was saved there. It is not possible to change the settings to black-and-white or two-sided printing after the fact.
Logging In on the Ricoh Device
1. Press DocuPRO to log in.
Note: Please DO NOT press “Log In” / “Anmelden” to log in.
Note: On the smaller MPC401sp color devices, you can find the DocuPRO login button by swiping left three times.
2. Enter your username (university ID or user ID).
3. Enter your password.
4. Choose between Print (left), Copy (center), and Scan (right).
You can change the device's menu language by tapping the gear icon (top right). Then select one of the languages displayed.
1. Insert your CampusCard into the card terminal.
Note: If you select a print job without your card being properly inserted into the card terminal, that print job will be immediately deleted from the printer.
2. You will see a list of your print files that you previously printed, uploaded to the print server, or sent via mobile printing. Select the file(s) you want to print.
3. Tap a file to change the print options. In addition to the number of copies, you can then choose between black-and-white and color, as well as between single-sided and double-sided printing.
4. Tap the green printer icon to start printing.
Copy
If you select “Copy” after logging in, you'll see the detailed Ricoh screen, where you can adjust the black-and-white and single-sided/double-sided presets to suit your needs.
Scanning
1. Select the “Scan to Mail” option (send a PDF file to your email address).
Note: “Scan to Home” (saving to your home directory) is not currently available.
By pressing the Ricoh icon, you can also select additional scan destinations directly on the Ricoh screen (Scan to USB).
2. You can again switch between black-and-white and color, as well as between single-sided and double-sided scanning.
3. Press the green icon with the scanner in the lower right corner.
