3. February 2022 - Service AnnouncementSecurity Vulnerability CVE-2022-21882 in Windows Systems: Install Updates Now

Security updates are now available for the Windows vulnerability CVE-2022-21882 and should be installed immediately (either through the Windows automatic update function or manually). Until the update is installed, the vulnerability may be exploited, making multi-user Windows systems (e.g. in PC pools or laboratories) highly vulnerable.

Microsoft had previously provided unscheduled updates to fix the vulnerability in January - however, these fixes resulted in problems for many systems. More stable updates have now been made available.
