The "new" Outlook app, which is currently under development at Microsoft and can be activated as a preview in Outlook 365 (see image), transfers user names, passwords and emails to the Microsoft Cloud on Microsoft servers outside Heidelberg University.
From both a data protection and IT security perspective, this app should not be used under any circumstances.
This activation option does not apply to current Outlook versions from the Office packages 2021 or older.
Computers in the university Active Directory can no longer use this app, as it has been deactivated in the central directories.
