Service announcement - November 19, 2025 Attack on IT infrastructure: Precautionary measures

Heidelberg University has identified preparations for a widespread attack on its IT infrastructure. Defending against this attack requires the immediate implementation of necessary precautions. These measures include, among other things, an immediate change of passwords. In addition, numerous IT services are now only accessible via VPN or from the campus network. Every effort is being made to prevent damage to the university. If you have any technical questions, please contact the IT service of the University Computer Center.
