How-To Setting up eduroam on MacOS
These instructions show you step by step how to connect your MacOS device to the eduroam network.
1. Ensure that your device is connected to the Internet (via mobile network, UNI-WEBACCESS, etc.).
2. Enter "https://cat.eduroam.org/" in the address bar of your browser to access the Eduroam website and click on the large blue button.
3. Type “Heidelberg” into the search bar, select “University of Heidelberg,” and click on the corresponding button.
4. Tap the “eduroam” button to download the Eduroam installation. Then tap the “Next” button.
5. A message will then appear indicating that the profile has been loaded. Click “OK.”
6. Open Settings -> General -> Device Management
7. Open the “eduroam” profile.
8. Click “Install” in the lower left corner.
9. Then click “Continue” to install the security certificate.
10. Enter your username (Uni-ID with “@uni-heidelberg.de”) and your password. Then press “Install.”
11. You can now access the Internet connection in the Wi-Fi settings with eduroam.
