How-To Setting up eduroam on iOS
These instructions describe how to connect to the eduroam network on your iOS device.
1. Ensure that your device is connected to the internet (via mobile network, UNI-WEBACCESS, etc.).
2. Open the App Store and download the “geteduroam” app.
3. In the app, type “Uni Heidelberg” or similar terms into the search bar, select “Universität Heidelberg” from the list, and click on the corresponding button.
4. In the “Login required” window, enter your username (Uni-ID with “@uni-heidelberg.de”) and your password. Then click “Login.”
5. Allow the addition of the “Wi-Fi hotspot network.”
6. Connect to the “eduroam” Wi-Fi network.
7. The connection has been established. If the connection could not be established, start “Reconfiguration of the connection” to re-enter your user name and password. To do this, click on the “round arrow” displayed at the bottom of the app.
