How TO Reinstalling and Licensing ChemDraw/ChemOffice+
Before we begin installing and licensing the software, here is a brief but important note:
For versions of ChemDraw older than (and including) version 23, the software activation may fail.
It is therefore generally recommended to update the software in advance (via the Help tab and then Check for Updates…) or to uninstall the old software and install the newer version (25).
Please go to this URL: https://uni-heidelberg.signalsresearch.revvitycloud.eu/portal/
or click on the red button and log in with your university ID and password.

You will now be redirected to the Revvity software provider's portal for Heidelberg University, and the following dialog box will appear:

Please enter your first and last name and click “Save.”
You will receive the email below from Revvity shortly. Please check your inbox and, if necessary, your spam folder.

At the same time, you should be redirected to the portal. If this does not happen, please reopen the portal: https://uni-heidelberg.signalsresearch.revvitycloud.eu/portal/
On the portal page, please click the “ChemDraw Installers” button.

A pop-up window will then appear; select the following option: “ChemDraw Desktop”.

The software is now downloading. Once the download is complete, please run the setup file, which you will find in your Downloads folder.

After starting the program, you will see the following menu:

Please click “OK” and make a note of the path.
As a result, the software should be extracted to the selected folder (path).

Once the extraction is complete, please launch the ChemDraw software installation on your computer. To do this, navigate to the folder located at the path you used for extraction (or locate the file name on your device) and start the installation by double-clicking the *.exe file. Then click “Next.”

Please read through the license terms and scroll to the end of the text.
Now you must accept the license terms and click “Next.”

Next, select which users the software should be installed for on your device. We recommend selecting “Only for me (current user).” Please click “Next.”

In the menu that appears, click “Next” as well.

You have now reached the final step of the installation routine. Please start the installation process by clicking the “Install” button.

Once the installation is complete, you will see the following summary (the software version may vary). Please confirm by clicking “Finish”:

Now launch the software by clicking the Windows icon and searching for “ChemDraw.” To launch the software, please select “ChemDraw 25.5.0 64-bit.”

When you open the software for the first time, a pop-up window appears asking for the type of license.

Here, select the “Signals Account” option and then click “Continue.”
Next, you'll need to enter the URL of the Signals license server. It is:
https://uni-heidelberg.signalsresearch.revvitycloud.eu

Next, click “Sign In,” and the ChemDraw interface will appear.
If you are no longer logged in to the Signals Portal at this point, you will need to log in again using your university ID and, if necessary, accept the pop-ups.
In this case, a page will open in your default browser where you can then log in using your university ID and the corresponding password.

The following pop-up window should now appear:

Please confirm by clicking the “Allow” button.
In the following menu, please check the box and confirm by clicking the “Open Link” button.

To verify that the licensing was successful, you can now click the “Help” tab and then navigate to the “Licensing” section. It should look like this:

Now you can use ChemDraw.
